What standard do we work toward?
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the W3C. It is the standard most often referenced in U.S. accessibility guidance, including Department of Justice guidance under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Current status: partially conformant. Most of the site meets the standard, and some content does not yet fully conform. This statement is based on our own review, not a third-party audit, so we state our status plainly rather than claim full conformance.
What have we done?
- A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Page language declared for screen readers.
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can move through each page.
- Form fields with visible labels and clear instructions.
- Keyboard access to links, buttons, and form fields, with visible focus indicators.
- Descriptive text alternatives on informational images.
- Layouts that work at 200 percent zoom and on small screens.
- Plain language, with terms explained when first used.
- Our phone number and email on every page, for anyone who prefers not to use a form.
What do we know is still imperfect?
- Embedded builder videos are controlled by their providers and may have limits we cannot fix directly.
- We are checking color contrast page by page against the WCAG AA ratio and fixing what falls short.
- Downloadable documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible version on request.
